Rose gold
The striking red tinge of the gold is a result of the high copper content. The copper also influences the hardness of the rose gold. To improve processing methods, many jewellery items often also contain some silver. Like yellow or white gold, rose gold can be classified by its stamp marking. The easiest way is to take a look and determine the gold content using our gold value table. Rose gold is incidentally the only type of gold which can bear the stamp marking 583. This is a pale-red gold colour colloquially known as “Russian gold” or “Turkish gold” in Germany.
